Imperial Japanese Navy

Sometimes a project comes out of nowhere and has enough momentum to carry it to finality in a short time, bumping long planned ventures aside.  Such was my rebasing and painting of a collection of World War 2 Pacific models and the quick addition of 1/1250 Cape Aero planes to complete a carrier air group.

Franco Prussian

It is more certain than ever that this will be the year that sees my Franco-Prussian armies on the table.

  • I have painted enough bases to approach 3 brigades  of Prussians and 2 of French.  Not enough to run a scenario, but the method is worked out along with the palette.
  • I played in Bruce Weigle’s Sedan scenario at Cold Wars and that is great inspiration.  When I played last year I was prompted to make my shopping list and place my orders.
  • I feel comfortable that I will be able to produce the towns in balsa and got a few snaps of the board on Saturday.
